Iranian drugs Pattaya Hotel Cashier and steals cash from Reception safe boxes

PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Saturday Police arrested an Iranian man who was accused of drugging a Hotel cashier and then attempting to break-open safe-boxes located behind the reception.

Police were called to the Prima Place Hotel in Soi Khopia in South Pattaya, just before 5am and arrested Mr. Saeid Mir Hosseini aged 46. Police examined CCTV pictures and saw the suspect use a screwdriver to force open a safe-box behind the reception as the night cashier, Khun Chantana aged 30, slept nearby.

What the suspect did not realize was that another member of staff, Khun Saring aged 37, was watching the attempted theft from the front porch of the Hotel where the cashier was taken to. Initially the man was detained by staff and a Hotel guest, pending the arrival of Police.

Mr. Hosseini had checked into the Hotel on Friday and was due to check out later on Saturday. He had befriended the cashier and went to a nearby convenience store and purchased a cup of coffee for her, which Police suspect was laced with sleeping tablets.

Thai night staff sleeping !!tut tut!! how can you say that.

Not to ruin the story, but night shift staff do not need to be drugged to be asleep . I fire at least 2 every month for sleeping just 2 hours into their shift

another class act

Looking at today's list of stories, good to see my beloved town is surging ahead in effort to top Phuket as source and home of true insanity. We were just waiting for "high" season to show just what we can do!

You should visit Iran, they are more vicious...

Some follow-up along those lines might actually be interesting... Then again, maybe it's not quite as big a deal when crimes like this are committed against infidels.

He could have caused her death. Punish him accordingly!

You are quite correct as there would be absolutely no way of knowing whether this person would have reacted to the drug administered!

The act of administering a drug to a complete stranger in this way is (to me anyway) a far more serious offence than the attempted robbery itself.

The sentence, once found guilty, should reflect this...

Soi Korphai...that's all one needs to know.

Sounds like a plot from Ocean's Eleven without the cash.

Run of the mill Pattaya stuff.

Pattaya is learning from Phuket. Had almost this exact same story from Phuket a couple

of years ago....

So he never considered the cashier waking up and knowing damn well that sleep wasn't natural, and that the guy who was ever so friendly had provided a drink just before; or considered there is such a thing as CCTV in the 21st century?

Seems like jail is the best place for a criminal of this level of IQ, in case he gets any more dangerous ideas into his thick head.
