new hospital coming or not?

last time i was in CR about 9 months ago, saw a billboard announcing- i think- bangkok hospital opening a branch>

anyone have real info on it?

I think it was advertising the Chiang Mai/Bangkok hospital which is now open there.

If it is a branch of The Bangkok Hospital group it is going to have a lot of competition unless it reduces its medicine price. Bangkok Hua Hin Hospital charged me 76 baht for a pill that I can order from a Chinese pharmacy for 16 baht. Admittedly it was a hospital only medicine not available in most pharmacies so thats why they can get away with this overcharging. They charged me Bt42000 for a cancer injection which I later got fort Bt9000 from a pharmacy with a doctors prescription. I never use this hospital any more

For sure some of the major private hospitals come with a license to print money, and lots of it.
