Well your a West Aussie so you lack some VFL/AFL history, like I dont mind expansion clubs taking the flag due to greedy and a broke VFL selling rights too Join then hijack it to a national comp when all it ever really was an expanded VFL, The Hawks Roos and Dogs joined an expanded VFL in 1925 they then continued to be the wipping boys for 40 odd years, they also finished last Hawks, second last Dogs, and 3rd last North, that year and like forever, just someone for the likes of Demons Blues etc to boost %, so again I dont mind when one of these 3 clubs turns up on grand final day, its just the Hawks when Kennedy arrived put the fear of god into the Hawks and they never looked back 13 flags from 1961 I think it was, easily the most successful club since 1960. The Hawks are from Hawthorn its not far from Toorak, blue chip Melbourne property and expensive since the late 70s, they also had Jeff Kennet as the president, no one could forget he as primer of Victoria, a very much hated man he was, cut the government work force, my ex a teacher took the package and run just so 6 ys later they where trying to rehire the teachers back, cut government services and put Victoria into fee fall for 4 ys, but we did come out better but the rich weren't bothered of course just the low hanging fruit. So its understandable why Billy cant stand them even I who once liked em and considered switching to them during the dark days kinda is sick of them a bit these days, but for 40 years they along with the other two where the VFL structural support embedded into the mud to support the other teams, kicked wipped laughed at, % boosters, so yeah, Peter Gordon, Alan Al;ett and John Kennedy, made them all into something...
