Popular Post Soutpeel
Sadly the more one reads and hears concerning KohTao the more one gets the feeling that something is not right.Strange deaths that are passed off as, or regarded as accidental.Murder investigations that are totally flawed etc etc Why does there seem to be an ongoing cover up ? There seems to be no regard for the rule of law and order on the island or is it the fact there is no law and order on the island which seems to be in a state of anarchy. There appears to be total silence from the islands political team, council and the police and business and medical community who all seem to be somewhat inept ,corrupt. Lies and deceit seem to be the norm, why are there no comments from the residents both Thai and foreign. It would seem a possibility that a solo killer, a psychopath or the possibility a group of violent characters roaming around the island bent on violence and subsequent death, again not necessarily 100% Thai in its make up either. The island seems to be a snake pit of violence corruption lies and deceit, yet we still see posters spring to the defense of the island .Indeed one is left to speculate why there is such support ans ongoing denials of the truth on this island. Perhaps a clean out of the administration team and what passes as the police farce force on this island may well be in order if in fact not long overdue. Or maybe this death was an accident; drunk person falls of a cliff is not exactly a far fetched scenario, is it? The RTP covering things up is hardly a far fetched scenario either is it ?
Popular Post siampolee
Surprised that the R.T.P. and their Koh Tao apologists haven't told us that the deceased was bungee jumping but he forgot his rope. No doubt that excuse will be the next one used when there is yet another unexplainable sudden violent death on Koh Tao

sweatalot
The mafia on Koh Tao needs to rein themselves in. A few more Brit deaths there will be the absolute end of tourism. With the death hotel in Chiang Mai, their solution was to demolish the hotel. But I think Koh Tao is too big to demolish...... worth a try neutron bomb? fishingforsquid
The culprits behind this murder (IMO) could very well be the same, who killed Hannah and David!! And no, they are not from Myanmar!! Reading your post, I thought about it. Maybe (just got this idea) some big Real Estate monsters behind it. Ruining the reputation of the island, wait until the land plot prices tumble down, buy whole areas and wait a few years in order to sell it after prices have risen again. (But I'm not a businessman, not an economic expert) Koh Tao in it's entirety is a National Park, concessions are leased to a number of families on the island (6 I think) with 5 family groups on the side of the island he was murdered. These families then sub-let plots to dive groups, bars etc. I could go on.......

jayjayjayjay
RIP Nick, but it is completely unrealistic for the UK family to believe the RTP have to deal with the Derbyshire police. People please understand how countries and jurisdictions work. If you want UK police to investigate, alway holiday in the UK. You might feel safe dealing with your local constabulary, but they have zero influence and/or authority outside your borders, and it is totally unrealistic to expect anything different.Uk coroners have a duty to investigate all suspicious deaths abroad where mortal remains are repatriated. This often involves requests to police via appropriate channels. If the family request then this procedure is surely correct. I do not know of any complaint along these lines, however, the correct system must be followed and expectations of use of the coroners office and the local police being involved is quite different.
