PHUKET: -- The Provincial Electricity Authority has announced a sweeping scheduled blackout from 9am to 4:30pm tomorrow (December 26).

The blackout will affect the road from the Heroine’s Monument to the Cherngtalay Municipal Office, including Thung Jin 1, Soi U Thai, Suan Pai Village, Thawan Place project, Manik Market, Manik Health Centre, Soi Nopphata Kaew, Bangkok Pad Thai Restaurant, Soi Bangjo, Yu Chareun 2 Village, the PTT Gas Station and Soi Cherngtalay 2.

Power has to be turned off so that work can be done safely on high-voltage cables in the area.

I live in a sub soi to Soi Noppthakaew and the power went off at exactly 9.30 am today.

Fortunately my wife have hot spot on her Samsung Note, so I can still be online until the batteri in the laptop is empty.

Later going to the beach since there is no sunshine today
