An American restaurant owner in Khon Kaen drove home a few nights ago and with a few beers on board killed a Thai female pedestrian.

The victims family is looking for a million compensation.

Make you wonder why he could not bother to get a taxi.

The restaurant is quite well known and not far from the Pullman.

If true, not only do I have no sympathy for this guy, I wish he was in his home country where he couldn't buy his way out but would surely do a good stretch in prison in addition to being sued for major money by the family.

The million baht seems to be the asking rate now. A young a Thai girl, near my village killed another young Thai girl while riding her motorcycle, the family is asking for a million baht, there was no alcohol involved.

Asking and getting is two different things.

I am very sure that there is hefty farang factor involved.
