Airport Rail Link still operating?

Featured Replies

Bit confused.

Is the train service from Suvarnabhumi still operating?

I seem to remember stories they went broke or had stopped to update worn out equipment.

Thanks in advance for any info.

It was working last week when I used it. I think the fare was 40 or 45 Baht from the airport to Phaya Thai and the same back to the airport. It does get very crowded around 4 or 5pm.

They stopped the express service to Suvannaphum, but the local service still runs.

Most days the Citi Line trains seem to be running every 20-30 minutes.

Used it about 2 weeks ago. The train that stops at each station is running however the express line is taken out of service for the time being.

Which is senseless because the express train interiors are designed for the job with comfortable seats and luggage racks whilst the commuter train has neither.

It takes about 20 minutes. How comfortable a seat do you really need for a journey that short?
