lingnoi34
You seem to have a general problem with expressing yourself. Quite possibly your other issues are directly affected by the aforementioned issue. Good luck and happy new year! L

Scott
Your still not giving a lot of information to go on. Maybe with time it will get better. Thailand is a unique country and it takes time to get accustomed to the Thai way of thinking and doing things.

SlyAnimal
Umm like thief classmate, perv foreign teachers, lesson problems, patriot stupids (it's like some people take side of the cheater just because she is thai), etc. You'll find that in schools everywhere. At my high school in NZ I lived at the boarding hostel, where we had a lot of international students. The NZers got on well with most of the foreign students, but some weren't very social and didn't try to integrate with us. As a result we thought they were weird and unsociable. As a result, some of the NZers who wanted to cause problems, would find it easier to pick on the foreign students because they were different and because they didn't know them. Of course, we'd pick on other NZers as well if they were also unsociable or didn't conform to some of the same social norms as we did e.g. If we did played a prank on a foreign student, and they then told a teacher, we'd really start to dislike them. But if instead, they tried to get us back or had a laugh with us about it, then we'd maybe become friends with them. The most important thing, is to try and integrate, to try and get to know the other students. If you just keep to yourself and only talk to your group of friends, then the others will never like/respect you, especially if you always look down your nose at them (Which from your post, is what you're doing). Good luck Thai people love foreigners, so I'm sure integrating with them would be a lot easier than what it was for Thai kids in NZ.
persephone
Oh, someone steals my items and a bunch of monkeys takes side of that bitch and in this situation, I look down my nose at them? Wow, what a jerk I am. I promise i'll appreciate it next time. Thanks for waking me up! By the way, if you read my comment, I mentioned about perv foreign teachers. So my problem is not about Thai nationality, smartass, it's about attitude of some stealing monkeys.
SlyAnimal
See you're having exactly the type of reaction which causes people to get bullied and lose the respect of their peers. You get a bit of advice, which includes some criticism, and you immediately take it personally. You need to not get upset so easily if you want to get on well with your classmates. Chances are they weren't stealing from you, but just borrowing something, if they did steal and it was a maliciously motivated action, then there's cause to get annoyed (how annoyed, would depend on what was stolen and other factors), but if you have a reaction which isn't in proportion to the offence, then that's likely why your classmates and teacher were supporting the other person. And my comment regarding you looking down your nose at your fellow students was more aimed at your comments about them perving at the foreign teacher + lesson problems + being stupid, as these are obviously comments which indicate that you believe you're better than them in various different ways. Chances are that if they did maliciously steal from you, as opposed to it being a misunderstanding, then it'd be because they already didn't respect you because of your attitude of superiority towards them and because you haven't established a relationship with them as friends or equals. persephone
Well, about perv teachers, these offer students money for sex, those students are rich people and they accept it. Of course, i'm better than them. Can i complain about those teachers? No, because the dean already knows about it and dislike people who complain about it. Some good teachers lost their jobs because of being honest. Why am i annoyed by it? Because they asked me the same thing and it's humiliating. Am i better than them? Yes, I'm. 2. The stealing monkey had taken my money from my pursue a couple of times and i finally caught her. I stand up for myself and those puppies take her side. My female friend got beated by a bitch for money. But my seniors told me what's going on with them. Am i better than them? Yes, i am. Because i don't steal or sleep with perv old guys for money. Am i better? Yes, I am. Did i tell you that i am better than them? Because I am. I don't give a <deleted> to dummies who are nothing but a thief and prostute. 3. Lesson problems, well if a teacher doesn't come to the class on time at a whole semester and when he comes and talks about sexy men, then there is a huge problem here. If a good teacher is being kicked out because of complaints, then there is a problem here. These people are stupid because they love not studying, and complaining about teachers who are not kindergarden babysitters. If all good teachers even Thais who studied abroad leave the college, then it's about stupidity. Are they stupid? Yes, they are. Yeah, I am bad. How about other foreigners here? Plenty of them already left the school, others share the same opinion with me.

SlyAnimal
Which university is it? Of course nothing about the Royal Family. Trip advisor and Agoda you can speak honestly about a hotel or trip. " ^^^blaming the victim. When someone tells a story, in which they're the victim, and they're obviously quite emotional about whatever has happened, it's pretty normal for them to tell the story from a biased perspective, and to modify or exclude some details in order to get people to provide them with sympathy. I'll admit, I'm not a sympathy kinda guy, I prefer to find the real story and then offer real assistance, rather than just saying "Oh that's so terrible" and agreeing with the OP. Which you'll notice, is exactly what I did, I offered real advice/assistance to the OP about my own experiences with bullies in NZ, and some ways to improve their situation. Also you'll also perhaps notice that I was the only person who offered any advice on how to improve the OP's situation in Thailand.... And I got insulted by the OP for my trouble. This speaks volumes about why the OP is having problems socialising with their peers, and so I stand by the points in my previous post. The OP is being bullied by their classmates, in part, because they don't have any respect for their classmates, gets overly emotional without much provocation and is insulting towards others without due cause, the solutions for which, lie with the OP attitude, and being aware of their attitude may help them to adjust it (or at least hide/control it a little better). There are likely other reasons as well (Some of which will of course relate to the OP's classmates), but based on the OP's posts thus far, I think that the above are almost definitely part of the problem. Perhaps this is again putting the blame on the OP, but I'm a firm believer that when someone complains about a problem, and you cite a potential cause of that problem, as well as reasons on how to improve the problem, that it's called constructive criticism. squarethecircle
"Which you'll notice, is exactly what I did, I offered real advice/assistance to the OP about my own experiences with bullies in NZ, and some ways to improve their situation."Well I didn't see anything constructive in that. In fact it seemed like typical face-saving, just as how every time I point out to an Asian elite about how their wealth is based on virtual slavery, I get a similar response talking about things on the other side of the planet. Not relevant and not constructive."The OP is being bullied by their classmates, in part, because they don't have any respect for their classmates, gets overly emotional without much provocation and is insulting towards others without due cause, the solutions for which, lie with the OP attitude, and being aware of their attitude may help them to adjust it (or at least hide/control it a little better). There are likely other reasons as well (Some of which will of course relate to the OP's classmates), but based on the OP's posts thus far, I think that the above are almost definitely part of the problem."Nope, people get bullied around because they are vulnerable and they're dealing with jerks. The first sign that you're dealing with a bully is when they blame their behavior on you. "Perhaps this is again putting the blame on the OP, but I'm a firm believer that when someone complains about a problem, and you cite a potential cause of that problem, as well as reasons on how to improve the problem, that it's called constructive criticism."Well any criticism should be directed at the bullies involved. Criticizing the recipient makes you part of the problem.OP - here's some constructive criticism. You're dealing with a--holes and it won't improve, so find a better situation and get the hell out. Tomtomtom69
Why did you choose to come and study in Thailand? I know there are plenty of foreign students but it is not renowned for educational excellence, neither is it the cheapest option. Thailand does not attract many foreign students. A few come, but they are invariably from neighboring and nearby countries like Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, India, Nepal and China. Mostly poor or at most other middle class countries whose families probably sent them to Thailand due to not meeting the requirements to get a visa for more developed countries like Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada or European countries. Assumption University or ABAC seems to attract most of these students, AIT also attracts a few but the main Thai universities attract few foreign students. Another obvious issue is the availability of English language programs. A foreign student would be greatly disadvantaged by studying a Thai program in Thai. Very, very few foreigners, even from neighboring countries would have either the language skills or the motivation to study Thai for years before even having the capacity to study a Thai language university program in Thailand. And who can blame them as opportunities after graduation would be limited. If you can get say an engineering degree from Thailand at least in English and you come from say Myanmar, then what Thailand offers is clearly better than Myanmar, but even as an Indian I don't think studying in Thailand is a step up. In fact, Indians would be better off studying at a well renowned Indian university such as IIT. I don't think any foreign student would choose Thailand over a western country for study. SlyAnimal
There are quite a few student exchange programs though. As I remember seeing quite a few Farang in university uniform when I was at Chula. Likewise heard that another high school near where I teach apparently had an Italian student studying via a student exchange in their English program. IMA_FARANG
It may be a generalized but he may be only a "stupid Farang" problem. As an example, some years ago I opened a joint bank account with my Thai girlfriend so that I could send her and her family money monthly. I supported her and her children for some years until her children were grown ( Don't laugh, it was the smartest thing I ever did. When it was My money, she felt no problem with spending my money. When it became OUR money, she didn't want to spend it unless she really needed to.) In order to get HER name added to MY account, I had to sigh a statement that I understood that SHE was being given access to withdraw monthly sums from MY account. The explanation I received from the Bank was that they wanted to be sure that as a Farang, I understood what I was authorizing her to do. They acted like, well, after all, he is only a stupid Farang who doesn't speak Thai, so we have to be careful. It's just a part of living in Thailand. Try to understand, as a non Thai you are an alien here ..... and you have a strange language and customs. You are "different", and that makes you distrusted. You have to earn and prove you deserve their respect. Edited January 9, 2015 by IMA_FARANG

Tokay
I'll never understand why foreigners come to Thailand to study. Perhaps if you're at one of the very top schools, like Mahidol or Kasetsart, it may be OK for a year just for the experience. But even their very best is pretty far down the list globally. Then again.... those extra small uniforms.
