Can anyone suggest a reliable email hosting service in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone and a Happy New year to all.

Our company is having problems with our email hosting service company, Technology Land.

Emails go missing after they've been sent and/or not visible on our other devices. This has been an issue for well over a year with no resolution from the above service provider.

I am looking for a reputable email hosting company here in Bangkok, one that can provide on-site customer service when required, Technology Land do not!

btw, I am not interested in using web based companies such as Google etc. We need a human to deal with face to face.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

You dont need a human to deal with face to face.

What you need is a company that provides an email service that works, run by people who know what they are doing. You wont find that in Bangkok. You wont find it with Gmail or Hotmail or Yahoo either.

Where you will find it is somewhere like this http://www.polarismail.com/

USD12 per account per year.

I would recommend the UK based company, Cobweb. We have used them for Exchange email hosting for the past three years. Very reliable and excellent support by email and you can phone them if you need to. Cost is £6 per mailbox and they do not charge VAT as we are outside the EU. http://www.cobweb.com/services/hosted-exchange/

I recently looked for a similar service in Thaland and only found this company: http://www.d1.co.th/services/exchange-mailbox-hosting/

Site in Thai but looks like 5 mailboxes for 1,600 per month.

I would still consider having Google Mail?... You could still find a local tech person to administrate it...

The advantage is that they are easy to setup - with a standard app for every operating system.

My company has used them for over 5 years with no problems...

If you don't mind Google mining and scanning all your email to discover trends, targeting you for marketing and building a marketing tracking profile on you.....no problem. Especially for business....Google gets great data that they can help make ad suggestions to your competitors.

Stop being paranoid and read the Google Privacy Policy. http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Also, with the commercial version of GMail there are no ads, so there's no marketing.

I pay for and use GMAIL in combination with an emai account and web-space of a Dutch internet provider. No problems at all. I love GMAIL as it keeps all my mail stored.
