January 6, 201511 yr Beach people are packing chairs and umbrellas and evacuating their stuff into trucks in a hurry, opposite Central some Army guys are sitting, looking bored. Around 7 pm monday night. Opposite Royal Garden beach is clean, no chairs and umbrellas piled up. Very unusual sight. Some pics across Central Earlier this afternoon, lots of passers by observed few Army guys, and couple of police officers busting a vendor outside Mikes, he was sellibg pills is small blue packs. His chair and table were carried by Army guys and thrown to the truck. Other vendors were running in panic, huge black garbage bags in hand. After few minutes I became bored and walked on, so I missed the finale. Dont know how it ended. Exciting!

January 6, 201511 yr Will the brigade make its way to Wong Amat as well? Not so much umbrellas here as much as massage beds adjacent to the hotels which have cluttered the walkways.
January 7, 201511 yr Yeah, lets put a stop to all these folk making a living.. Agree. They turned a nice coastline into a shanty town/slum. They can get a job instead of exploiting public beach.
January 7, 201511 yr Believe this is just the (every Wednesday no chairs/umbrellas on the beach) that was advertised in the weeklies. In Phuket it is seven days a week, Pattaya one day a week.
