Mega Bangna should still have a courtesy bus service to the BTS? Google maps is your friend if you want the distance.

Hardware house is one of the best hardware stores in Thailand at the moment.

Stay away from Thai watsadu as they sell only crap and are overpriced for anything that resembles quality.

Thai WATSADU is part of CENTRAL RETAIL GROUP (maybe you even get 5% discount with your CENTRAL CARD, who knows).

it is a builders/constructors paradise, but rather difficult from places like HomePRO.

I can not judge the prices. Been there once (at the Bangna-Trat store) and found it a bit disorganized.
