Life insurance for a individual flight in Thailand.

Featured Replies

Outside of purchasing a flight on a credit card, does anyone know if it is possible to purchase life insurance for a specific flight originating in Thailand?
In other words who sells only life insurance when travelling by air in Thailand.
I already have travel and heath insurance cover, but the life insurance part is minimal.

Better to save your money and look at the country you're flying to- to see what your survivors are entitled to in the one-in-several-million chance the plane does go down. For example, if it crashes on its way to the USA or UK, your survivors will probably be millionaires. If it's on the way to N Korea, not so much....

Or have genuine (full time) life insurance that covers the loved ones you leave behind during the times you're actually likely to die- like in traffic or swimming at the beach, or...or...

I also imagine airline security would scrutinize anyone buying a huge life insurance policy just before getting on a flight. I know I'd be curious...

If you still want life insurance for a flight, I'd suggest a Google search.

Interesting point you make here.

I was under the belief that you might be able to purchased such a policy for a sum insured.

So this leaves open the actual amount that might be paid out, and in my case I'm hundred percent sure the beneficiaries wouldn't fight it.

I Googled Thai flight life insurance, it only came up with travel insurance.

I thought there would have been a demand for it, especially after the three instances involving Asian airlines in the past year.

walking round Thailand is way more dangerous than flying.

You really want life insurance for one flight? That may trigger some alarms with insurance companies.
