UPDATE Two suspects named in search for missing Russians Pictures courtesy of SiamChon More than 200 police, officials, rescue workers and residents joined the search for two Russian siblings missing since the early hours of 26 July, after their motorcycle was found dismantled and buried in Huay Yai, Chonburi. The latest search is centred on the old Thung Luang cemetery near Chak Taeng intersection in Moo 9, Huay Yai, Bang Lamung district. The site is about 200 metres from the Na Jomtien-Mab Ta Phut motorway road. Motorcycle parts buried at two sites Huay Yai police chief Pol Colonel Warawut Nittayawan and Bang Lamung district chief Anusak Piriyom led the operation, alongside police, administrative staff, village leaders, rescue teams and local residents. Investigators found that the motorcycle had been taken apart and buried in two separate locations. At the first site, officers recovered the shock absorbers, front and rear wheels, engine and body panels. About 100 metres away, they located the frame, seat, handlebars and further body parts. Chonburi Forensic Science Division 2 officers examined both areas and collected evidence. Residents raise concerns over two men Niphon Chatsri, assistant village headman of Moo 9, said a man known as Pong, who appeared in an earlier video, was suspected of being involved. He said Pong had been released from prison two months ago and that nearby residents had been fearful of him, alleging that he regularly carried a weapon. Niphon also said residents saw a man called Thong, described as Pong's close friend, digging in the area from 5pm until 11pm on 28 July. The following morning, villagers reportedly saw Pong and Thong together at the site before both ran in different directions when they saw officers. House searched but men not found Huay Yai police, Tourist Police and Bang Lamung district officials surrounded a house in Moo 11, Huay Yai, after receiving information that Pong and Thong were hiding there. Neither man was found. The homeowner told officers that both men returned to the house at about 10am on 26 July, the day the Russian siblings disappeared, with mud on their bodies.
