It is possible to change the name of my allready booked home flight to name of my wife and I fly on another date, but the Aswer was impossible coz of security reasons ! They would prefer that you purchase a new ticket. This kind of thing has been in place for decades, it's to prevent people buying cheap tickets way in advance and then selling them on to other people as the price rises nearer to the date of travel.
