Speaking on becoming a film star, this creepy guy from a travel agency offered me a porn star gig when I went to enquire about a ticket to Laos (straight and ladyboy).

He also said I could wear traditional Thia costume at festivals and amuse the locals.

Had to turn him down, but I can point out which shop he works in if you're interested lol

There are a few current TV members in the pikey business who may be interested

Management Information Systems

I don't see the jump from Management Information Systems to becoming a pilot.....? Maybe starting in your own field with a Multi Nat, would be a better bet.

My cousin finished the exact same degree as this, went on to THK pilot school in TUrkey, completed his studies and was hired by Turkish Airlines. He's now flying 737's.

Welcome Thailand please come soon

another digital pikey/movie actor/Ed visa abuser/Walt/wannabee/quality tourist in the in the making

I wouldnt open a topic like this If I wanted to do visa runs and abuse an ED visa. TBH I wouldnt follow the BS routes above and instead get a thailand elite card which will let me stay legally without lying to any authorities. But I want a decent job, the first one is being a diplomat, and the latter flying planes.

Indeed.

I can see him posting here again in 6 months after spending all his time on a Southern beach, peeing mum and dad's money up the wall asking how to become a TEFLer with a WP and real visa so he can stay with 'Tee Rak' who is syphoning off his cash to the farm....

Maybe he cold take Rangsitreppin with his as a guide and guru....

lol you probaby mistook me for some 60-70 year old fat buffalo whos chasing girls half his age.

By tee rak you probably mean thai girlfriend thats sucking money out of you I dont need to splash out money to attract girls, as I can attract quality girls in my homeland just as easily. I'm a 25 year old, 6'0 tall, fit male

I dont need to make up for the lack of looks with $$$

I just want to lead a decent life here in S.E.A without bugggering my parents.

OP, reading your posts you come across to me as a little spoiled kid that depend on your parents to support you.

Don't give me excuses you don't want to take money from your parents or you want to work.

You are only thinking of yourself and how to enjoy your life on your parents expenses.

Get a job first in Turkey, prove yourself that you are capable to conduct your own life and then start thinking of coming to Thailand and start partying.

You are too young and inexperienced and dreams like that don't usually have a good outcome.

I know you don't like what I say, but sometimes you have to listen to people with more experience in life than you.

You have a valid point, I opened this topic to get advice from experienced members like you. But I was raised in S.E.A, both of my parents are diplomats, 4 years of my childhood I spent in Kuala Lumpur, and the other 4 years in Manila. As someone thats used to the way of life in S.E.A, the west just doesnt cut it for me. I'm not a person that suddenly decided to move to S.E.A after taking a vacation, half of my life I spent it in S.E.A. I still have great connections in Philippines and Malaysia.

Sadly handsome, here, money talks. If you aren't going to be splashing the cash you won't be sniffing the gash....You could be a Brad Pitt lookalike sat next to a George Formby lookalike, but if George is clearly spending a lot more than you are he'll be the one getting all the attention....

Your cousin but not you? You seem to think you can just turn up in SEAsia with this degree and walk into a highly competitive job market?

I just want to lead a decent life here in S.E.A without bugggering my parents.

So who would shell out the 20K for the elite card?

I'd say your best bet is once graduated (or near) get around the Multi Nats in your home land with interests/offices in Thailand or in the region, get hired there, keep up to date with SEAsian affairs or take a 'area studies' Post Grad qualification related to Thailand or SEAsia, then wallop in with a transfer request and see how you go.

Yes money talks if you want to attract an Isaan girl who is broke, but it clearly doesnt talk if you want an educated girl thats more or less on the same socioeconomic and financial level as you. ANd I dont want to move to S.E.A to get girls, I have no trouble getting them in the west or Turkey. Its not about the girls, its about the low cost of living, buzzling nightlife, unlimited dining options, a weather thats hot all year.

a weather thats hot all year.

It's not been that all that hot this last week or so.....Been great for doing all the running around i've put off in the hotter weather.

Can't really add too much more than the above. Don't your parents have any contacts in the Turkish Embassy/Foreign Office and get you nipped in there?

It seems like you have experience of life here which some Multi Nats may like their regional staff to have.

Apply for a F.L.U.F.F. Visa and work in the grindhouse. Seems to be what the other young ones are up to.....gamble online and live in ur tilacs room & if you go through an earnings slump send her out to ply her trade. ?

Poker is a serious business, you need nerves made out of steel to be successfull at it.And since black friday the games have been full of pro players, so you got pro playing against pros, not many fish to make money from.I know you are trying to make fun of my ambitions, but I'm a realistic person.

Yes that is one of my last resort, but the joke will be on me at the embassy if I work as a regional staff, cause my parents are high ranking diplomats and I've basically travelled on a diplomatic passport all of my life, after going through a lifestyle like this, it would be funny to work under the people who were taking orders from my parents not that long ago.

OP, by now we all know that you are a BIG man! So please get a job at your ambassee and don't start flying a plane.

And if everything else fales, you can always dream.

Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Why am I being bashed for wanting to become a pilot? Its a great job, you fly, get to meet new people everyday and plus have a bunch of hot F/A's serving under you :D

Thought you weren't in it for the women....It's also a sector with a large % of homosexual employees I understand....

Why? You can't be that arrogant a brat you couldn't take orders from your parent's former minions? Who knows? One of them could be the one with the contacts at Pilot School or airline you desire.....

If it were my post, I'd definitely edit the spelling of " bugggering my parents" to reflect the meaning I think you want to convey.

Up to you. 555

Edit:

If a portion of what you post is true, I suspect there's some very envious folks onboard here.

You don't state why you want to move to SEA. If it's for a career, bad place to start.

I dont really care about my career.I want a place that makes me happy, and S.E.A definitely nails it. The way of life, the climiate, unlimited dining options, buzzling nightlife, relatively low cost of living , when you combine all of these factors it looks attractive in my eyes
If I may, you should try to live in SEA for some time before making such a strong assessment. The world is very big. For example, for people under 30 with good labor skills, Australia offers many opportunities and I think New Zealand as well.

I am not suggesting you should live with your parents money, but as you can afford it, take it for now and travel around the places that look interesting to you. You will discover many things that would be not accessible without being on the spot. Based on my own experience this is the best way to find opportunities.

And finally, I don't think there is something wrong in accepting some help from your family. Just make the best out of it.

Good luck!
