Hi,

I was studying in Thailand for the last six months. I have been offered a position with an NGO in Cambodia and now I have to leave to go to Cambodia. I plan to fly out of Bangkok. I haven't overstayed my visa and it is a single entry ed visa - i wont be wanting a re-entry permit.

I put in paper work to say I am withdrawing from the course today and the university informed me that in a week or so they will contact immigration about my withdrawal to cancel the visa. ( i will already have left by then)

They told me that i should go and talk to immigration about my status here in Thailand but am leaving in 3 days so Im not sure if i have time and I have no papers from the university to show at immigration as the university has to go through its internal processes (signatures on my form etc) before they will inform immigration. (so the visit could maybe be pointless)

I have a few questions I need some answers to:

Will I have any problems leaving Thailand at the Airport?

Will leaving without a reentry permit cancel my visa?

If i want to come back on holidays in the future say in 3 - 6 months could any of the above impact my entry to Thailand?

any other information/advice would be great.

Thanks!

Leaving is never an issue

Your visa will automatically cancel upon leaving without a re-entry permit

You've broken no rules so why would there be an issue with re-entering another time?
