pattaya to Poi Pet public transport

of course one can-one can thus go between any 2 points in TH. Replace Poipet with Thai border=Aran(yaprathet). Just bring time, more time, stamina and a small ability to communicate with local Thai-not in general the best virtues of most PTY-farangvisitors. Prejudice has it that most of them are unable to survive outside PTY without the GF/BF on the side.

For the many who like trains so much: take any bus along Sukhumvit to Cholburi-change for Chachoengsao-there are also direct nr 57 buses-walk or tuk2x over to train-check times before, as just 2/day, but very cheap to Aran-then tukx2 to border.

There are also for the more easygoers direct buses ev. 30/40 mins from same Chchsao busstation to Aran.

Much more easy and relaxing Thai side are the many vans doing borderruns-but most of them do not serve that border, but another one. Keep on asking and you may find some willing to accomodate you-and not charge the total incl Khmer visa+return.

We dropped off a relative on the west side of suk next to Big C South Pattaya. She took a minivan to the border town from there. You could also take a bus to Morchit bus station in Bangkok and then a direct bus from there. It will be quicker than trying to find a bus from here as it will make many stops along the way and you'll probably have to change somewhere anyway.
