Bale has said he has to consider his own future if Spurs do not qualify for the Champions League.

I think he has been tapped up already Carmine, don't you?

Yes, but we won't sell him. I'd be surprised if Modric remained though. I'd also be delighted to see the back of him.

Now that Chelsea are buying Marin and already have Mata, City already have 2 dwarfs in Silva and Nasri, it looks like Man Yoooo if anywhere, yeeees 35-40 m from the mancs, looks like we will have them over again 4.gif

Well Ferguson has been telling everyone what a great player he is for a couple of seasons now. To be fair he does seem an obvious fit at Utd and they could meet his wage demands. It would also give Utd real midfield strength with Cleverley and Scholes used sparingly as cover.

Hopefully Levy will make it a great hattrick at OT!

Gallas, Dawson, Kranjar, Sandro, Huddlestone, Dos santos, Defoe,

With the exception of a fully fit Huddlestone and on form Sandro we would be better rid of them all to be perfectly honest.

Even Defoe needs replacing imho...

I wouldn't sell Dawson mate. He's part of our future center back quartet that includes caulker and Kaboul. Watch this space in the transfer market for the fourth.

Gallas, King and Nelson all on borrowed time for sure.

So guys, how is your line up for todays game? Blackburn will for sure be setting up a 451, so if we line up 442 we might be in trouble. Having said that, we have been playing 442 for years now so it should really be possible. To do that we need more energy thou, so hope for a 4411. Kaboul should be back, so hoping for something like this:

Walker Kaboul King Rose

Lennon Parker Modric Bale

VdV

Ade

Thats probably the best we can put out. As long as he makes sure the wingers stay on the wings and give us the width we'll need to break them down.

We could give them a thumping today or we could continue to make life very hard for ourselves.

I agree with you regards the wingers. Let's get crosses in and make their life difficult today.

COYS!!

no ful bac cover? no wingers , and no goal keeper. Your right, though take the best players out of any team and you are going to suffer but top squads like man utd arsenal dont suffer from HUGE lapses of form from a few injuries like we have, they have sufficient cover to compete, we a t m dont.

Your memory is very short Rij ( but we will make allowances as your getting old ) but if you can remember back to the beginning of the season the Arse were struggling in the bottom half due to there injuries and not so long ago City were struggling due to having a few centre forwards injured.

Spurs problem has been that we have let 2 full backs and 1 right sided midfield player out on loan.

<deleted>,Alfie rose tinted glasses or what, weve let 10 ish reasonable prem quality players go and barring parker addyboy and goalie, who our team is now 100% BUILT AROUND, weve bought in cheap mid range tosh ,x'd our fingers and hoped for the best. well if u think its worked, good 4 you, but the results seem to prove you somewhat wrong though alfie, Not that I mentioned man city, but they havnt been out of the top 3 all season and as for arsenal,it was plainly obvious that once all fit they were going to be bac in the champions lge mix, but us? our problem is that if we get a few injuries now our squad aint any way near top 4 competitive.

A really bright first half, the way blackburn are set up, sitting bac defending deep with three midfielders, is set up for spurs to run onto them

we really need a second, cos keen is just hoping to hold it down to 1=0 with 20 to go and then change it around and go at us, lets just hope ari

has his wits about him!!!

Yeah agreed smokes sandro's performance was a huge plus. back to his early season form.and a great goal from walker to boot However Bale seems still to be somewhat short, hardly beat the pretty average fulback,. As you said it was an impressive 1 st half performance. And overall a v deserved win but lets be honest against pretty piss poor opposition. And for all our possession, in the second half, barring the goal did we actually test robinson? but hey ho 3 games to go and they are all v winnable.

Our best game for a while, created chances and got 2 good goals. Sandro was outstanding, and should keep his place for the next game. If we just could get our wingers back on track.

A fun fact:

Blackburn failed to register a shot on or off target all game, the first team to do so in the Premier League since 2004

If Redknapp keeps making comments on the future of our players there will be a lynch mob after him. Who does he think he is making these comments to the media especially as its highly unlikely he will be our manager next season. One minute he's saying our players are staying and then he barking on about Modric might go. No wonder the players look so dejected. Harrys always had his own agenda and its divisive towards THFC.

Get rid of him, Mr Levy.

The FA have certainly messed you about - and for no reason it seems. The uncertainty around 'arri leaving has had to have been a factor in your poor performance over the last weeks. Now it seems, just as the players are getting into some sort of form again for the last few games, there is another twist. There will no no doubt be a lot of speculation in the media about 'arri staying or Levy getting rid of him etc... etc... all very unsettling.

Its quite surprising really isn't it, how the English FA, who you would think had some pretty clever business people around the place, appear at times to be a bunch of amateurs unable to coordinate events in anything that resembles a professional manner.

In their defense i really think they tried to do the right thing by us. Problem is that Redknapp never gave us anything positive regards the possibility of staying. He's a self serving crook (not proven)

They would have been better off approaching Levy straight away and dealing with the issue immediately in total transparency.

Looking ahead, its unlikely we will qualify for the CL so i would be quite happy to see the likes of Rodgers or perhaps Martinez given a chance. If were not playing in the top flight CL theres little point having a seasoned pro with loads of experience

Isn't there a slight contradiction in these 2 comments Rij 24.gif

And you still havn't named the Newcastle bench that ses their squad is stronger than Spurs !

Alfie, instead of trying to wind me up, try winding you're brain up, there's a dear chap. I was trying to make a point bout them strengthening the squads as opposed to us weakening, As for the contradictions w t f!!!. And ari not getting the england job, thats a blow, but at least he's going to have to sort the squad out himself. As carmine said You cant really blame the fa for this they did the right thing, and announced an interim manager and a manager would be named at the end of the season, the bollacks that surrounded was created not by ari or spurs but by the ridiculous and frankly desperately pathetic media circus that surrounds football.

Its simple this. The FA announces they are interviewing Hodgson....the fans go mental...then they appoint 'Arry.

They look great and appear to have done their job well.

England get beat...its the managers fault.

Cigar anyone? biggrin.png

Its no less silly than what is happening at the FA. Why leak the info about the interview?

Why????

If Chelski win the Champions League does that mean the top 3 only qualify?

Yes, would be v harsh on the 4 th place team.

Unless the 4th placed team is Chelsea wink.png

Think youre gonna do any better against man city than you did at home?

We looked shaky up until the last half hour there...at 1-0 half time I was worried....1-1 and they had their tails up.

Then we were superb for 15 mins....I hope this is how we are gonna finish the season...with a flourish of talent, attacking football and goals...well it could be called the Tottenham way...clap2.gif
