hang on a minute, we have got WBA away. hardly a side with the threat of relegation hanging over their head, but admittedly a tricky fixture. where as you have Fulham at home and up against one of your former managers. who if i remember rightly you sent packing in rather an unpleasant manner. he may have a point to prove, wouldn't you say ? or are you just trying to wriggle out of what i would say is a generous looking bet. whistling.gifbiggrin.png

I'm just hoping you have a bottle of Sangsom left tigerflish....! rolleyes.gif

how does it go ?

somewhere along the lines of........ you can take the Scotsman out of Scotland, but he will always be a tight fisted so and so !

name your tipple of desire and i will honour the bet. i am not just talking about something you can pick up from the local 7/11. laugh.png

bunnahabhain_25yo_2.jpg

And your choice? biggrin.png

what's that, a bottle of 25 year old irn bru in a fancy case ? tongue.png

seeing as your asking though, i saw a rather nice bottle of claret for around 100,000 baht in one of the Poipet casinos for sale last time i was there. biggrin.png

Can someone please tell me why a manager would put on def. midfielder instead of Defoe when we need a goal? Was it that AV was completely over us, and we needed to strenghten the midfield? Or was just because Harry is useless when it comes to making changes?

PS! You all read the rumors saying several players were complaining to Levy about Harrys and the other coaches training methods. Especially no focus on tactics and set pieces. Well heres a "fun" fact. Tottenham have created 274 corners so far this season, scoring 7....that makes about 40 corners per goal!!!

18?corners 2 day, dont think we threatened/ pressured the keeper from one.

19 actually!! The closest was a shot one which ended with Walker blasting it over... Useless on set pieces. We have a player like Gallas, who has scored 5-8 goals every season for other teams, and mostly on corners, he has scored one at Tottenham!!! Stoke away in his first season. We also have players like Kaboul, Sandro, Bale, King and Dawson. So the hight and good headers are there...

Yep , for sure it's a weakness, one i've been on about for a while. How is it rectified? Giving them to modric?, looks an easy option, Will it make any difference? who knows. But for sure they cant be any worse.

Do you not watch the games Rij, Modric has been taking the corners when VDV hasn't been playing and it hasn't made any difference because they have been just as shit.

Me and carmines were saying the the exactly same thing, Harry didnt seem to realize that a draw wasn't much better than a loss so why not go for it !

Very true. We're still in there so as I said above...all we can do is hope....!

To get the players to do what we want, and then I mean getting Bale to stay on the left. Ensuring Kaboul does not go on runs with the ball etc, they should do something like this:

Good stuff. Does any of you guys recognize any of the players?

Just put one on Harry, mind you the amount of twitching he does i think Levy's got one on him already 30.gif

I've had it with scrotum face. He's a self serving ars*hole. I'm also totally fed up with Bond sitting there like a clueless idiot, and Joe Jordan looking like he wants to start a fight!

i bet McLeish couldn't believe his luck. There we were all over them, time to bring on Defoe and go for the kill and what does he do! Defensive midfield <deleted>! You could hear the groans from the Spurs contingent. Unbelievable. It was so obvious he hadn't a clue what to do. But the question is why not? It was so obvious we had to win. Why on earth did he think a point was ok?

What a team we could be with a top coach. Would it be better not to qualify so Levy sacks him and gets in a decent coach? Doesn't Fabio Capello fancy one last challenge in the premier league.......

Levy must have been thinking hard as the groans from the Spurs travelling contingent were ringing in his ears. So i suppose were back to "In Levy we trust."

Well, if you recall, i've been suggesting modric take the corners for month's, based on this, i'll repeat it just for you alfie, ari's argument would be /is that were a small team, which at the mo has some creadance, But if thats the case, what we need to be doing is trying to get on the second ball, and IMO v. d v is the best weve got at that, he seems to have a knack of getting on the end of the litlle knock on's and scramble's aka his days with crouch. Just a case of details ect, which we all know ari and his team are pretty inept at.

TBH I was kinda hoping/ expecting ari to get the england job, and was actually beginning 2 look forward to a more 'switched on' coach taking

over, I know it sort of sound's disloyal, ect ect, but i'm half way hoping that we have a poor start to next season and levy does a jol on him

and then I predict we'll hear from ari , 'well we let blah blah go' and we didnt re invest in the team.

Now that the England job has gone and Harrys now informed us atlast what a good job he has at Spurs it seems its also time for him to start mouthing off the his mated in the press.

yes another classic....Apparently Levy and Spurs have to be bold in the transfer market!

Well thanks for that you <deleted>, but shouldn't he have realised when he decided to play for a draw at Villa that top players want to play in the champions league. If we don't Levy will be spending most of his time trying to hold onto what we already have.

As rijit says, you can almost hear the excuses already, followed by the obligatory "they only had 2 points from 8 games when i took over."

Very important if we are to go forward he is removed.

Villa Park, last sunday. 4000 travelling Spurs fans chanting "you don't know what you're doing" at Redknapp. Defoe also must be seething.

Lose the travelling fans and you're finished. I wonder if Levy agrees with the majority of fans that Redknapp has made the most almighty balls up of this season.

Presumably for the Fulham game we we play Kaboul and King, if fit and play Gallas at left back, so that we keep Gareth as an attacking option.

Fingers crossed Harry won't play for a draw. blink.png

Harry obviously relies on his accountant to do all his maths for him, so perhaps he should have been on the bench with him on sunday and could have explained that a draw was only very slightly better than a loss!

Oh and defo red card for Rose, As carmine pointed out in his last game he is prone to impetuous challenges, And with that one, was lucky he

didnt bust Huttons leg, Beginning to think he's a little out of his a depth, hope not left back is not the easiest position to fill.

I'd like to comment on the Rose challenge, I have only seen it once, live, and a couple of instant replays. My vision of it was that he went for the tackle and was 'caught' (tapped, tripped) by another Villa player as he went for the tackle, that caused him to 'slide in'! If anyone can point me to a clip to review, I'd be happy to discount the theory.

God forbid Chelsea win the CL, then 4th won't be enough!

Hi rijit

The video in your link has been removed for copyright infringement, I am not defending Rose in any way, just explaining how I saw the tackle.

3-0 to Liverpool at 1/2 time should mean that we only have Newcastle and Arsenal to worry about in the chase for a CL place (or just Arsenal if Chelsea manage to win)!

We just need to win our last game!!

Chelsea will lose in the final...and have no European football next season as a result. That's making me chuckle I must admit!

I wish I had your confidence! What do you know about Aussie Rules football?

Me and the missus are off to Perth (I've been offered a job)!Apparently, there's some blokes in vests, against other blokes in different coloured vests, and they seem to play a mans game of net-ball with 4 sticks and a few blokes in Newcastle kits, awarding things!??

What am I like? It's all here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_rules_football

Dead weird the way that sport has not changed kit style since the early Bee Gee era. Their shorts are so tight they must be infertile by the age of 30. Looks like you have to be pretty fit to compete mind.

I've just been reading up on 'The Irish Experiment', converting Gaelic Football players to Aussie rules, since the 80's!http://en.wikipedia....rish_experiment

I haven't got a clue what this has to do with the Spurs! Sorry! 8-0 at home to Fulham should sort it?

And Arsenal do anything but win!

Good luck out there Trev. I hear most things which bounce around can be stuck on the barbie but I'd be wary of those tight shorts if I was you! biggrin.png

Yeah 1-0 will be more likely....probably in injury time. If that happens I will defer my next heart stress test...

Am I still allowed to play the predictions game if I'm an ex-ex-pat, do I lose points because I didn't go home, when many suggested that 'me and my kind' should?......

Only if you win. Then we can blow the proceeds on a Spurs piss up in Bangkok.

I don't stand a chance really as I can't stop predicting we will win. My natural optimism I suppose....its a curse at times. biggrin.png

Edit: Its not done MrRed much good either this year I'm happy to say!
