January 28, 201511 yr suppose for the sake of argument that one were blacklisted from Thailand. If you wanted to say, fly from the USA to cambodia could you arrive in BKK and then be allowed to transit to the terminal that flies you to Cambodia?
January 28, 201511 yr Only if the person doing it could remain in the transit area of the airport. If they have to enter the country to make their connection it would not be possible.
January 29, 201511 yr Not so long ago someone transiting at Bangkok thought the same and was caught. All passenger manifests are provided to Thailand, as it happens in all countries. Better to fly to Sillypore and get a flight direct or Vietnam
January 29, 201511 yr For arguements sake, if someone was blacklisted, why consider transiting through Bangkok. Just to get to Phnom Penh you can fly via Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Vietnam and Doha (although make sure it is a Qatar flight that goes via Ho Chi Minh and not Bangkok) Why risk it. There are other options
January 29, 201511 yr Being Blacklist does not necessarily mean that you are subject to Detention in Thailand. Only that you cannot enter. I know of an American that was Blacklisted and passed thru Thailand Transit enroute to Vientiane.

If you stay airside you do not need a Thai visa therefore being blacklisted is not a problem.

If one is blacklisted it means Thailand doesn t want you in its territory, someone who is caught it is because they are looking for you for some reasons. I think if you are blacklisted and you are in transit without going through immigration you can make it.

There are other options I believe Qatar Airways stopped flying Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh and now fly Doha-Ho Chi Minh-Phnom Penh so that isn't a problem anyway.
January 30, 201511 yr Only if the person doing it could remain in the transit area of the airport. If they have to enter the country to make their connection it would not be possible. But then it is not actually a real transit. A transit flight is several legs under one PNR without the need to go through immigration OTW to your final destination.

There are many people that would call transiting not having to leave the airport. They even call going from a domestic flight to another one transiting. I have learned you have define it when answering posts such as this one.
