Sure glad I never went for that lure. I just knew there was more BS behind it then behind a raging bull.. Don't have that problem in terms of the pollution issue here in the states but they may follow suit if regs in EU continue on that path, and diesel has been routinely a dollar or more then regular lately and the extra mileage just doesn't make the math add up versus cost.

Not sure what it's really about - there's no video I can see - but assume it's about the promotion of diesel engined cars, and then onto backlash about EU reg's wanting to control them.

I have, and have had, a mix of gasoline & diesel cars. Gasoline is great when you have HP on tap, but when you don't it's a different ballgame. Give me a choice of say a 120HP diesel or a 140HP gasoline, and I'll take the diesel in a heartbeat. Not because of any green crap, just because it drives better, and it's cheaper to run wink.png

I suspect that most people buying small diesel cars are buying them for the same reasons - people just aren't altruistic enough to actually buy based on CO2, NOX are any of the other 'green' attributes - if they really gave a crap they probably wouldn't buy a car - better than bad does not equal good wink.png
