Can't connect laptop with TrueMove Huawei 3g USB modem

I keep getting a message like "modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not connecting properly"

When I google this error, it shows up as error 633 on Microsoft Windows 7 sites, but I have yet to find a solution to this. Some suggest it is due to windows 7 management of ports....advice appreciated on how to fix this.

No one has an idea...

A couple of interesting articles from the Google search.

One is about the error appearing when starting Windows 7 from sleep or hibernation:

I guess you have shutdown/restarted the laptop more than once? (not just closing laptop or pressing the button).

You have installed the update for KB2618301?
