"My heart is broken. It's gone with Jib's leaving. She was my beloved," Yutthakorn Chaihirankarn, Jib’s father, said Sunday.

Yutthakorn told Morning News he’d just chatted with his daughter via Line two days before she was found dead and did not expect it would be their last conversation. [read more...]

Couldn't quite put the 'Thai' in 'Thai-American' boyfriend, could ya TV?

TVF certainly does slant towards being anti-American. But in this case, I think the headline is from CB, which itself is even more hardline anti-American.

Sad indeed. And a waste of a promising life. The anti-Americanism of the article is unmistakable, though, since the writer CHOSE not to mention that the perpetrator of this horrific crime is a THAI-American male with a farang name.

I could make a sweeping generalization about Thai males with their childlike egos and propensity towards resorting to deadly violence, but I wont.

Nothing American about him !

Only his "Right" to go buy a Glock19 handgun off the shelf & use it........

.

....oh sorry am I being anti American.............coffee1.gif

Point remains thai media spins this as if an Amercian guy shot a Thai female student.

Its incorrect both of them are Thai only it happened on American soil.

....och sorry am i being anti Thai.....

I do not think in America you have the right to buy a hand gun and use it to kill your Thai girlfriend and shoot your self but i need check it with my lawyer duhhhh..

Boyfriend is Thai who has American citizenship, and the US based story said they were living together and had been having relationship problems since it was reported the boyfriend also had another relationship going on.

Now that is so Thai.

The gun murder rate per capita is far higher in Thailand than it is in the US.

If all you read is TVF you'll get the idea...

Nevermind.

His name sounds decidedly American. Perhaps farang father/Thai mother.
