Anyone know any good rental companies in bangkok.....ones that will deliver lower sukhumvit area....good prices

Car rentals from small operators leave you open to scams like jet skis and motorbike rentals. I rent from Avis at the airport. I reserve and pay for the car through my home country and use a home country visa or mastercard. CC companies are well aware of the ripoffs and might help you. They also would jerk the merchant's CC usage due to too many complaints which puts the rental company on notice.

I don't know if Avis delivers, but just for me I wouldn't rent from a small local. I consider the price I pay insurance.

Used small companies before many times...but this was years ago and lost their contacts....never had a problem.

Personally i would never use the branded names.....no need to be shafted by global giants.

Thai rent-a-car have an office on Petchaburi Rd (near where Ekamai intersects) and will deliver to lower Sukhumvit for a small fee. They're reliable but not super cheap, but usually cheaper than the multinationals.
