Poll says bombing is politically motivated

BANGKOK: -- Dusit Poll revealed its latest survey on the double bomb explosions at Siam Paragon and BTS Siam station with the majority believing it be as politically motivated.

The survey asked 1,209 people nationwide on how they felt about the bomb explosions in Bangkok last Sunday night.

48.81% said they believed politics was involved in the bombings, citing the incident came not long after the impeachment of firmer prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra by the National Legislative Assembly and the call by a US top diplomat to lift martial law. They said some dissent groups might want to discredit the military junta and its government.

31.53% voiced uncertainty if it was politically motivated as it could either be political motive or personal conflict, while 19.66% dismissed politics was involved.

Asked what action should be taken by the government, 80.46% called for stepped up security and bring the perpetrators to justice immediately, while 78.97% said more security personnel be deployed to prevent further incident, and 59.07% wanted a meeting of all relevant state agencies to resolve the problem and bring confidence back to the people.

54.40% wanted the authorities to constantly inform the public of new development of the investigation of the case and with no cover up.

77.21% polled said they were frightened by the incident, and felt insecure, while 73.58% said it intended to undermine peace and order in the country.

"a poll says...."?

Seriously?

A poll on the Siam bombing... never saw that one coming... amazing Thailand...

Oh, stop those useless polls.

They are just telling me what I already know.

It is politically motivated and it is to discredit the government.

Hope they catch the perpetrators soon.

It is politically motivated so the junta can prolong the martial law.

Hope they catch the perpetrators soon.

It's politically motivated to support the government, against outside interference of the political sort!

Will they also hold a poll to decide who should be arrested for the bombings? Maybe that's the reasons why the name was left blank on the arrest warrants.

Why do not make a poll asking who still believes Dusit Poll?

"a poll says...."?

Seriously?

"Poll says"......... anything they want it to say

Now did the poll ask the simple question, "was it politically motivated" or all the rhetoric attached to the question in the above statement? Seems that to get 100% of the 48.81% percent to agree to the following three statements would be absurd in an open poll.

Last time I checked it took over 50% for a majority. Like so many polls there is no supporting argument, it is only a headline.

Possibly they are right , then again possibly they are wrong, since when did a poll decide who or what let off a bomb, it's a wonder that the poll didn't come back Burmese.coffee1.gif

Then it must be so.

Thai needs a poll to understand??? amazing.

Duh. And stats show that 50% of the people have below average intelligence. The bright side is 50% have above average....

One has to consider a false flag operation as well...cui bono and all that...can't have martial law lifted with bombings all over Bangkok can we?

polling people on a topic for which they have no facts on which to base an opinion.

what an excellent idea!!

of course not...

fact is that there are no real facts on the event. There may never be.

It's supposed to be a criminal investigation. What the hell are they doing polling 'expert' opinions on the motivation?

what an excellent idea!!

Indeed.

Like so many claiming to what most, the majority, and even all Thais think and want.

Yet many refuse to accept when evidence is presented and decision is based on it.
