Nasty business.. that's savage!

Indeed, a very vicious assault. Not often one gets hit on the head with an axe and survives.

Surprised the assailant didn't use the usual gun or a knife.

Hope he makes a full recovery but does sound like he's upset somebody.

Re the guys wondering if his mrs knew he had life insurance, you've been reading too many tales on TV lol

Are you a Parrot, what is your point, what a waste of space, can't believe some of you guys.

The Police probably never said this it would have come from the press.

Y'think? rolleyes.gif

It was probably a typo, but thanks for your input. wink.png

High chance that the Frenchman knows what this is about. Business dealings being top of the list.

On the off chance, he has no idea, a thorough investigation of his wife's finances and sex life would turn something up.

He arrived with his wife but only he was attacked. This is a botched pre-planned assassination attempt.

Probably the same guy who got busted 2 years for working illegally when his hotel was used for an Ukrainian kidnapping.

See this thread, http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/714006-french-resort-manager-ukrainian-tour-guide-nabbed-in-work-permit-raids/page-5, and baabaabobo's detective skills, which have convinced me.

Either doing business here, banging someone's wife or the wife is sick of him and wants to cash out of the relationship.

The attack is too personal and brutal to be random.

There is also a lot of brutal violence caused by conflicts arising from nothing during say alcohol drenched karaoke sessions. But who is carrying around an ax, points to it being a planned thing. Oh well, I'm out, who needs one more detective.

Using an axe is similar to a knife attack, the perp wants to get close to the victim. It seems it was a crime of passion. Either it was a jealous gay lover or the wife had a boyfriend and went for a square up

I agree, but doesn't all the things you mention make this an obvious case of "attempted suicide - case closed?" smile.png
