Lamai Beach Party Last Night

Featured Replies

beach party last night in lamai

seemed a big success

some thousands of people

gossip is:

put on by Fusion club with the Shark drink as sponsor

some revenue to go to a school?

what's not clear is who was able to get the police to tell a lot of the bars (all? not sure)

to close at midnight so people had nowhere to go but the beach party.

brilliant idea and a sure fire way to make a successful venture.

so how can I execute the same plan for my business?

You might try talking to some of the people who put parties on on Koh P--the black moon and half moon run all night every month. I believe there is a special permit you must apply for --sorry dont' know the real name, I've always just called it the "party permit". Applied for at the amphur, so you might just try calling them and asking.

permit for a party is one thing

having police shut down businesses is a kettle of mangoes i think

The Police went round the bars the night previously advising owners that they were to shut at midnight on the 21st. - The reason given: "The party on the beach is to raise money for the new Police Station in Lamai" (no mention of helping schools...) :o:D:D:D

That's what I've also heard from Thai friends of mine.Bear in mind Fusion is owned by an ex Samui police chief.Makes sense? :o
