webfact
Police arrest 2 alleged terrorists with IS flag in SydneySYDNEY (AP) — Two alleged terrorists arrested with a home-made Islamic State movement flag in Sydney planned to harm someone with a hunting knife or machete in an IS-style attack, police said on Wednesday. The men would have carried out the attack on Tuesday if they had not been arrested that day in a counterterrorism police raid, New South Wales state Deputy Police Commissioner Catherine Burn told reporters.Police seized the knife, machete, flag and a video which showed "a man talking about carrying out an attack," she said."What we are going to allege is consistent with the IS messaging," Burn said."We believe that the men were potentially going to harm somebody, maybe even kill somebody, and potentially using one of the items that we identified and recovered yesterday, potentially a knife," she added. The men will appear in a Sydney court on Wednesday charged with undertaking acts in preparation or planning for a terrorist act. It was not immediately clear what potential penalty they face.-- (c) Associated Press 2015-02-

Popular Post issanaus
So a terrorist is now someone carrying a knife and a flag. If this is the case then they've won. The goal of terrorism is to undertake acts of violence that cause an overreaction by governments and fear in the population. The knife and flag is just part of the evidence. The evidence that is not released is the intelligence that triggered the raid in the first place. The attack was stopped before it happened, there has not been an over reaction and the public confidence is enhanced by the actions of the authorities. The winner in this situation is the Australian people including the many Muslims that oppose radical Islamic(?) agendas.

Tough choice. Err on the side of caution or wait until the knife is held to one's neck. I go for option A.

Steely Dan
Unfortunately , just the start of these animals surfacing...I'd have thought most of them would be locked up by now, that's if they really are the tiny minority we keep getting told about.

Arrest them all, sort it ouy afterwards, its a shame the two who murdered Lee Rigby were not arrested earlier. Unfortunately in these times , a persons rights have to take second place. what about the video Edited February 11, 2015 by steve187

Popular Post shaurene
A mate of mine told me he was having a drink in a pub in East London and he was sitting next to this oldish guy who was very sad, he asked him what was up, the guy told him over the last 6 months his house had been burgled every day and he did not know what to do. He seen the guy 3 months later and the guy was a happy man, my mate asked him about his burglers, he said for the last 3 months he has never been burgled, he said he put a Kasistan flag, an Iran flag and an IS flag in his garden and since then his place has been watched by the MI6, the FBI, the CIA and the SAS and no one comes near his place. Ha Ha.

These two are from overseas and if they gained citizenship it should be taken from them and both of them sent to their two respective countries. And jailed in their own country if applicable. The pair have apparently lived in Australia for several years, and that Omar is from Kuwait, while Mohammad is believed to be from Iraq. See link below for all details. Two men have been refused bail after being arrested during anti-terror raids at Fairfield in Sydney's west. https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/26260278/two-men-arrested-over-alleged-beheading-plot/ Edited February 11, 2015 by OZEMADE

Lissos
So a terrorist is now someone carrying a knife and a flag. If this is the case then they've won. No, two men with the flag of a known violent Islamist organisation known for carving off the heads of their sworn enemies. I say that combined with a knife / machete, this person is unlikely to be en-route to voluntary care work for disabled children. Only if Australia falls under Sharia Law and opponents have their severed heads stuck on public park railings, will they have won. Until then, all that has happened is that two people have been arrested as caution, rather than 'watched' but then missed at a crucial time.
