jdinasia
not without travelling to a Thai embassy abroad and getting a tourist visa ... Edited August 22, 2006 by jdinasia
n5760
so travelling within thailand there is no chance of getting a 60 day visa?
Khutan
You can go to immigration and apply for an extension of 30 days. As you are a tourist and travelling that should not be a problem
jdinasia
not on a 30 day stamp on arrival. 10 day extension for that ... 15 days IF they already have an onward ticket
lopburi3
You have to apply for and receive a tourist visa from a Royal Thai Consulate and they are located outside of Thailand. The one normally used for that area of the country is located on the island of Penang in Malaysia. What you have now is not a visa but a 30 day permitted to say without visa and is not designed for more time that the 30 days allowed. You may be able to extend at an immigration for anything from 7 to 15 days but not more than that unless there is a medical emergency or some other valid reason. You can probably cross a border/enter another country/return to obtain another 30 day stamp. Be sure to have 10k in baht with you in case it is asked to be shown. naka
Lopburi3 knows the score. You can :- 1. Apply for an extension in Thailand, probably no more than 15 days, cost Bt 1,900 2. Go down to Penang or K.L. ( cheap flights with Air Asia etc. need to spend min. 1 night ) 3. Do a run down to Khota Bharu, N. Malaysia. ( or Ranong ) Naka.
