WhizBang
Just when it looked as though he might be leaning towards a bit of tact and diplomacy in the wake of the Japan visit, he shoots himself in the foot with this nonsense. Whoever is providing his PR advice should sacked, pronto. It's rare for us to see eye to eye on things, but on this we can. From what I can see, the higher up the ranks you go, civilian or military, the less that tact, diplomacy and simple common decency and common sense seem to apply. It's always that "now I'm here, I can do whatever the <deleted> I want" attitude. Ah, Thainess.
rijb
I would have hoped he has learned his lesson by now and stop these metaphors. Unfortunately I have to be subjected again to the wise opinions of the TVF members. Why don't you go eat some noodles while you still can.

Wilsonandson
I'd like to point out something. It's not just Yingluck that's having a bad time. So is her brother in law Somchai Wongsawat, so is Jatuporn leader of the red UDD, the only one not on the list is Thaksin and why? Why aren't they trying to get Thaksin? Thai at Heart
I wonder if the next civilian government (should there ever be one) will reform the army. (edited for spelling) Well, that would be a surefire way to spark another coup. Probably the only way to reform them will be to actually fight them and make it so obvious that the people wont stand for their infernal interference.
kareona
You are all wrong. Prayut can prohibit toppled PM Yinluck going for a meal of noodles. Yes, he can. But he doesn't and that shows very clearly his good and tender heart.
Reigntax
Being dyslexic I almost had a cheer. I thought the headline said "Thai PM toppled by noodle eating can'ts"
MaiChai
Since Yingluck was Taksins puppet, she is now going to do jail time for him? Put it another way. Taksin runs away from jail time so Yingluck is going to do it for him since the government cannot get him? I would observe that bpoo being Yinglucks nickname means crab. You might compare mannerisms between her and a crab or why she got that nickname?

Why would they want to get rid of their bogeyman when they can continue to use his existence as a reason to stay in power, all the while blaming any and all of their failures on him and his 'wreckers'?
JAG
The more they strut their stuff, the more attention they draw to her. Every time they stop and search her car, station troops outside her house or make daft comments like this they are helping to create the martyr the red shirts want and reinforcing the international communities views on military juntas and deposed elected female prime ministers. They have dug themselves a heffalump trap and are goose stepping into it. Edited February 12, 2015 by JAG

tif
"If she wants to go to eat noodles then she can go but if we prohibit her then she cannot go," disgusting treatment of the ex-PM PS Churchill : "In war, resolution; in defeat, defiance; in victory, magnanimity" I believe you are forgetting how this Puppet 'PM' treated the country she was supposed to be administering, not filling her and her 'brother's' overseas bank accounts. The word 'disgustingly' doesn't begin to cover it. Start with 'contemptuously'. BTW, if the General has hopes of emulating his chum Xi's MO, she could eat those bloody noodles as her last meal. northernjohn
Well this is a stupid thing to say BANGKOK: -- Thailand's junta chief Thursday said the military is keeping such a close eye on ousted Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra that she would be unable to eat a bowl of noodles without their permission. If indeed he said it. It would not surprise me one bit if he had said with out are knowing it. But that would not sell as many news papers.

Are you suggesting they waste money. There has been previous attempts to get him but the charges against him do not warrant the intervention of other countries and Interpol has said they are not taking part in those charges either. Once again the New PM shows his wisdom.
boomerangutang
Coarse, inarticulate, and a bully: Ladies and gentlemen of Thailand meet General Prayuth. Somewhat close to mark. I see him as a father-knows-best-wannabe figure. He expects the Thai people to always kow-tow to authority. He also made some coarse comments right after the double murder of Brits in Sept at Ko Tao. If he's anything like Thaksin, he could never admit making a mistake.
Bluespunk
"If she wants to go to eat noodles then she can go but if we prohibit her then she cannot go," Prayut told reporters Thursday, indicating the military would continue to monitor her movements. Why would they do that? Do they think she might try skip the country? Probably yes. I know I do.

WitawatWatawit
I've noticed of late just how intensely personal Prayut is making everything. It's all "I" and "me", "my problems", and "I'm tired of this" and "I'm tired of that". Classic megalomania I would suggest. The good general needs to stop turning everything in on himself and start realising the old adage, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going." He's made his bed, now he must lie in it.

tbthailand
from just a couple weeks ago, ... "Today, have I ever restricted anyone's rights? Have I ever done that?" asked Gen. Wilsonandson
If Yingluck goes to prison it's logical to go after Thaksin next. Surely they can catch him or make a deal with the countries he resides in to capture him for them. They got Bin laden.
