Kap Cheong extension based on retirement

Recommended Posts

I just completed my annual extension today, arrived at 10:28 and handed my documents to the member of staff at the desk in the lobby.

These docs. were

Completed application form

Photo

Letter regarding income from the British Embassy (I use the over Baht 65k per month)

An internet print out of my UK bank staement for the last 3 months, which showed monies I had withdrawn/transfered to Thailand.

Passport photocopies

Tabien Ban photocopy

The member of staff checked them and put them in the correct order and I signed them. I was then directed to the IO in the main room, who asked for my phone number, took a web cam image.

I left at 10:53 all done and dusted with the stamp in my passport for a further 12 months up to the15th Feb 2016.

As a post script I witnessed 2 UK guys and 1 chap from Isreal being sent away as they had not got bank statements. Also prior to todays visit, I phoned the office on Monday to check what docs. they required.

All in all a good outcome for me and whilst I sympathise with the people sent away , as they say in the boy scouts "be prepared".
