I was going to ask the same question Chris: are they only going to campaign on 14 Feb. every year?

I suggest you guys take a look down the page and also look at the previous pages. Quite a few drug busts already this year, and we're only half way through February.

As I mentioned before, since the army arrived some of the police seem to be doing their job, things are definitely improving. clap2.gif

There have been several drug arrests in recent time, but only one that I can remember that was a commercial quantity - a large "intent to sell."

By this, I mean, a dealer, to the dealers.

A drug arrest is a drug arrest. Each arrest plays a part in dismantling a criminal organisation, either through the demand (user) or the supply (dealer)

To be taken seriously, they really need to start arresting the middle level dealers, insead of the street level dealers, and hopefully their investigation will lead to some serious drug arrests, in relation to the quantity of drugs seized.

Unfortunately, they seem content to parade these small fish in front of a camera for propaganda reasons, rather than using them to climb the ladder to the bigger fish and creating some serious inroads into drug distribution on Phuket.

For 'propaganda reasons' ?!!!

What 'propaganda' would that be ? All I can see is a police force doing its job

The "propaganda" is the article in The Phuket News.

Notice how they only ever really arrest street level users / dealers.

A simple road block would catch fools like these ones in the news article.

How about some real investigating, and some arrests, actually noteworthy of a news article.

Sure, one arrest is better than no arrest, but if they want to have an impact on the drug supply on Phuket, they need to start arresting dealers who are moving larger amounts of product.
