Helicopter noise

I'm presently up in Pratamnak & a helicopter has been doing the rounds a bit to frequently lately & waking up my little 'un from his daytime naps.

CNY fireworks are bad enough.

Does anyone know where it's coming to or going from?

Mate, seriously, how in the name of Jehovah are we expected to know where the helicopters come from ?? I do have my suspicions, though.

That helicopter (presumably) flew over our condo in Jomtien this morning, really sounded like it was about to crash as it approached from behind which scared the GF, and me If I'm honest.

I have flown aircraft for many years and still don't know what is the sound of a helicopter that is 'about to crash'. Maybe I missed out on that part of the training.

I too have noticed (heard) some heavy heli machine to the East of SSCC Road.

I couldn't see it but it sounded like it was labouring, not the conventional noise of a helicopter either cruising or in the climb when the rotors make that heavy thud thud sound that you can normally hear before you see the machine

The military helicopters have been going up and down the beach lately. Had lunch in Jomtien yesterday and saw 2 in 1 hour. We hear at least 3-4 a day now.

You called it Lenny. Cobra Gold use to last 6 weeks but it is scaled down this year. Maybe it is about finished for the year?

Part of the Cobra Gold exercises have finished. I am not sure about locations other than Nakhon Nayok.
