Worm, snake, lizard or all three? What is it?

Featured Replies

Found this in our garage yesterday. Thought it was a worm until I touched it. It moved like a snake but very fast. Took a picture of it before disposing it and later saw that it actually have two legs as well?!

About 10 cm long.

Can someone help me identify it?post-8199-14243198790736_thumb.jpg

Probably a skink of some sort. Harmless.

Hi edh,

I believe that this is a Short limbed supple skink (Lygosoma quadrupes), which are native to Thailand.

Absolutely harmless to humans.

Actually have legs forward as well :-). Thanks for info.

Coincidence, I had one in my water barrel recently.

It's a Naga. Put it in a bottle, put it in front of your house with a sign, and you may make some baht off it. Good luck!

You've just murdered an innocent lizard. Rule of the bush..."Leave it alone and it will leave you alone." thumbsup.gif

Its a Nambi Pumarita a very rare and lethal worm. Its known to look like a Skink but it sits in waiting and once a human gets close enough

it tries to rap itself around you money. Similar to the way a Bar Girl does it but with more stealth.

The only way to avoid its lethal grip is don't go close to it

Best you run but there have been reports of it outrunning some farang.

Delirium tremens ? biggrin.png

You touched it????? Surely you should never touch anything live, insect or whatever, unless you know what it is.

I found 1 last week under a brick. Tiny thing like a worm but moved like a snake on yaba. It wasnt hurting me so i watched it for 5 minutes until it found more cover.....for its own safety.

This is one of your relatives or enemies coming back to bedevil you..... or to bedevil your partners there.

Ok, reject my statement at your peril... reject the thing and see what it later comes back as...... ooooh. facepalm.gif

That's my rule of thumb in Pattaya.

By disposing I meant moving it out of my garage. He is now happy somewhere else - only not in my garage.
