Sailbad the sinner Posted February 19, 2015 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Hi I am banking with Bangkok bank who inform me they have no available boxes in any branch... amazing! But if they did in order to rent one I must subscribe 200,000baht per annum into a life insurance policy. can anyone suggest a better bank? asiaexpat Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 From my experience safe deposit boxes are very scarce in Thailand and in Bangkok only exceptional (read that wealthy) customers get one. My wife, a Thai, looked for 3 years without success in Bangkok. Luckily, a family member suggested that she get a safe deposit box in the relatives name and add the wife to the access list.
