Documents required for non language Ed visa extension

What documents are required for an ed visa extension for child attending regular school? I just got a new passport for my daughter and just recently read that a new visa extension is now required on the new passport.

If she has an extension in her old passport the extension stamps can be transferred to the new passport at immigration. There is no need to apply for a new extension.

To transfer the stamps you will need copies of both passport photo pages, copies of the visa and extension stamps int the old passport and TM6 departure card. A letter from your embassy requesting the stamp transfer will also be need at many immigration offices.

Yes, but her old passport and extension end at the start of March. I will need to apply for a new extension now right?

You did not mention the extension was ending. Was the one year extension shortened because her passport was expiring in less than a year?

The school will need to supply most of the documents needed for the extension.They should also know the local immigration offices requirements.

Yes, was shortened because of the passport expiration. Didn't realise at the time of doing the extension that it was ending so soon.

The school is a local school and not very up-to-date with these kind of things. It was hard enough getting the original documents for the first extension. Do you know if they only need documents they can make in-house or do they need another letter from MOE?

Until August of 2013 when they changed the rules they would give the remainder of the extension when a new passport was obtained but since then they only do an extension to the date the passport expires.

Another letter from the MOE will be needed. Everything will be the same as the previous extension.

If you are on an extension of stay it might be easier to get her an extension as your dependent.
