Multiple Entry Retirement Visa Extension

Recommended Posts

Is your "Multiple Entry Retirement Visa" an "O" or an "OA" one?

If, as I strongly suspect, the latter, then you don't need to apply for an extension of stay after 1 year at all. Just do a border run a day or 2 before its expiry date, and your passport will then be stamped for another 12 months!

In this connection, I am, of course, assuming that you are, indeed, referring literally to a visa and are not one of those individuals who delight in confusing everyone on here by referring to an extension of stay as a "visa"!ermm.gif.pagespeed.ce.7f2Kr9k8HCxvlbix7X

Visas canot be renewed, you only can apply for a new one.

Extensions of stay from immigration in Thailand can be renewed every year at a cost of 1,900 baht and a re-entry permit would cost 1,000 baht (single) or 3,800 baht (multiple).

You cna renew it 30 days early and at soem places even 45 days early, without losing any days.
