Thats the connection speed from your router/modem to your PC. Had me excited the first time I saw it...sorry to be the bearer of bad news

but what about the speedtest result of download 405 and the upload 144 , against the paid for package of download 256 and upload of 128.

how can it be faster than the tot ,getting more than i paid for ......its just not possible.

this is thailand after all.

Check that bill .... see if they are charging you for 512/256 (if not ... shhhhhhhh they had to have set you up for that or faster!)

I have setup a new broadband speed test here:

http://speedtest.thaivisa.com/

The test measures download and upload speed to our new server located in Singapore, which is located direct on the international backbone.

George, are you cheating people? With any broadband speed test here in Europe my download speed is over 4'400 kbps anytime. Your test shows always between 300 and 400 kbps!

download about 130 kbps

upload about 70 something kbps

true 256/128 -

just downgraded it from the 1mbps package, as I never got those speeds as promised.

but its now sunday eve - probably many people on the net.

good enough to read texts, troublesome for major downloads.

Our server and allocated bandwidth is utilized by around 8-9% only.

The bottleneck is your ISP or CAT if you are accessing from Thailand.

I was wondering about that, too. Perhaps somewhere in between? Accessing from Switzerland.

True Move at 08:50 Bangkok Time

Download Speed: 1544 kbps (193 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 422 kbps (52.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

I'm paying close to B2000 a month. Is this right? seems like I am paying just a tad bit too much.

What do you guys think?
