La Taverna Bang Saray

Featured Replies

Went along to the restaurant Saturday evening to find it closed. Note on the door, but any news on it's closure?

Probably just a day off but their pizza taste like cardboard so maybe they are toast!

No, not just a day off, the note said closed for business development. Just wondered if anyone had any further info.

Website down as well.

If he had to close down he has very bad luck again. If I am well informed he opened a super duper Italian restaurant in Pattaya some years ago. It was in Soi 18 (off Naklua Road). It never came off the ground and I'm sure he lost a lot of money. After that he moved on to Bang Saray.

Hope that the news is not correct.

Again an incredible place that some Thaivisa members have checked...

I always found it expensive whilst the food was bland. It's in a good situation: corner spot; easy parking. I hope it succeeds Bang Saray needs another restaurant to rival the Belgium Bakery which is excellent.

It's open again. I believe it's under new management, but the original owner is still somewhat involved. Saw him last night while we were in Bang Saray.

Mike: have you tried the other Belgium run restaurant there? We ate there last night and it was quite good. It's the one across from the fire station.

Yes,it's under new management. The old owner is still running the cooking school near the restaurant
