Hi

Ok so I have a lot of notes titles.

I noticed a long time that whereas I start with say one note entitled "JOBS" or "QUOTES" suddenly I will have two or even three.....each mostly the same but can be a bit different. Both the same until added to perhaps.

1. Anyone identify the cause...am I doing something wrong?

2. Can I use some sort of file comparison which will merge repeated parts of the note into one but also keep things which are unique to each note?

Thanks!

ps anyone else annoyed that notes scroll automatically down to the bottom when opening when it's often much more intuitive (as with a jobs list where you may want to prioritise) for it to start at the top.......which it used to do until a damned update.

This is still a real problem.

Worst multiplication is for my go-to to-do list which I call JOBS. In Notes it has now multiplied itself TEN TIMES and that's after I've deleted some over the weeks. Some other Notes have repeated versions esch with different dates under them.

This is a real pain I'm scared to delete the older ones in case I lose something but it can take a long time to check through them and I'd much rather get at the root cause

Apple's NOTES and Google's KEEP are meant to be simple scratchpad idea area.

If you're storing lots of items then you might want to look for other applications that give you more options.

So, is your doddering old mind responsible for the duplicates or the application sync between devices?

The only thing I can think of is if you are doing consistent iCloud updates?? I have a fair few notes but I have never seen his problem. Even when I update a note on my iPad and look later on my iPhone it always seems to have synced ok.
