thefactoryoutlet
Hello, Do you know an independent garage (not official dealer) specialized in German car in Bangkok or Pattaya area ? If not a garage a specialist, if possible foreigner, is also welcome. Do you know anyone who is used to work on Audi, Benz and Bmw ? It would be my last choice but if you know a Thai garage please tell me also. Thank you.

KittenKong
German Auto = official dealer. OP is asking for independent garage. I know. In the absence of anything better I just thought he should be told about it. Personally I would be rather wary of having anyone other than a dealer look at my imported vehicle, if I had one. Even for my locally-made vehicle I'm quite happy to pay the premium charged by the dealer for servicing.
KittenKong
No, can I have more details ? Thank you. I think it's on this plot which was empty when the Google Street View camera went past. https://goo.gl/maps/twBx8 It's certainly very close to there even if that isnt the exact spot. Very large flash place but, as mentioned, it's a dealership.
Jessi
There is a German mechanic in Bang Chang. He is very expensive like 18,000B for oil change & new oil filter on an Audi. He also finds excuses to keep cars in his workshop for months at a time. Go by all means but you have been warned.

Jessi
Drive down the road that goes along the side of Tesco Lotus. You will come to a Railway line, just before the line on your right side you will see his work shop.

Its hard to believe that a German is doing that, considering the "work permit problem". <deleted> would pay 18 K for an oil change, not even mentioning that he keeps some cars for a few months, doing what with them? An ordinary oil change for an Audi A 4 should not be more than 4 K, including oil. And even that's already expensive. It's an easy task for almost all garages, even for some gas stations in Thailand. Easy to do it alone, if you've got the right tools. Even in Thailand there is a customer protection law. If that's true, you might want to make it public. I mean really public...... For my BMW 320D the dealer charges 8k Baht for oil and filter, never paid yet as its free for the first 5 years. I do not agree with the BMW time scale on the oil change so i have one done in between at my local garage with myself viewing the job. 6l Castrol Edge fully synthetic 2.500 Baht OEM Oil filter 950 Baht Labour charge 250 Baht So it works out around 1/2 the cost the BMW garage would charge. thefactoryoutlet
Of course who is (DELETED - language) enough to believe that oil change costs 18000 ? So I am still looking to know the guy if somebody can explain clearly <3 How often does BMW changes oil for free in the guarantee ?
