It's all a rip-off in the name of religion. If Thai people or any other people wish to support such rip-off's then it's entirely up to them. Just my opinion of course; but to me all religion is a cu

“All religion, my friend, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed, imagination, and poetry.”

Edgar Allan Poe

Great author of scary stories & poems... Philosopher & sage? Not so much. Relevance to distribution of wealth? Even less. Unfortunately, not every word that passes the lips of a celebrity is necessarily a pearl. I do get a kick out of folks who like to quote famous people just to impress though.

hardly philosophical, it an opinion and every one is entitled to opinion, even Edgar Allan Poe

Hows Uncle Souties quote then ? this will impress you

Organised religion in all its forms is the biggest con job which mankind has ever been subjected to

Not as "poetic" as Edgar Allan Poe granted , but the meaning is exactly the same thumbsup.gif

In my opinion all religions are man made, by powers to be, to control populations. Even bie apears to be fake, as they recently found one 1500 y old in turkey that says Jesus didnt died on cross and that..... http://guardianlv.com/2014/05/1500-year-old-bible-claims-jesus-was-never-crucified/

Real or not dunno

I rather believe in ancient Sumarians

And the real gods

Enlil, Enki, and Ninhursag.

With this mindset Odin will never select you for Valhalla!

Well, let me put it this way. I'm about as impressed as I was with Poe's quotation...

Well, at least SOME of THEM are qualified to teach rather than impress. You kind of HAVE to quote & cite at various points in any teaching effort, or at least plagiarize... 'Means you're doing a job, not trying to "impress". Although I've always found really good teachers impressive, and that actually includes some few members of the clergy, from my own experience. ....which just about brings our little sidebar back to the largely pointless yet never-ending search for opportunities and ever more eloquent ways to trash religion, doesn't it?
