Yeah, impatience of the young?????? 83 years of stumbling along the rock-strewn path to democracy and he tells us he expects the new guy to fix it all in less than 10 months. Impatient? Definitely! Unreasonable? Unquestionably!!!!!

P.S. On second thoughts to my previous reply (above)!!! The only thing I could think of telling them would be the one thing they do not ever want to hear. "Get rid completely of the L.M. laws."

Nobody with any sense thinks that those who have so studiously and fanatically placed the rocks on the path to democracy will now clear them away - the Junta are currently using their absolute and unopposed power over the nation to dump as many lorry loads of rocks on the path as they possibly can to prevent democracy.

If you think the military would ever want to get rid of LM laws - you don't know much of how Thailand works.

Rice scheme premium jasmine 20 - 25 baht per kg

Current 10 - 15 baht per kg

I guess the banks and middlemen just had an unexplainable burst of over generous purchase agreements during the rice scheme

How fortunate the farmers could benefit from this magnanimous gesture

How strange the farmers should attribute their good fortune to rice scheme

Especially when the scheme was withdrawn farmers have experienced a 40 - 50% drop in revenue, thus taking away some 70% of the profit line

Yes, we understand your family did quite well under a scheme claimed to benefit the poorest rice farmers. What did you do with your windfall, connect electricity or put a floor in your hut?

Now that the price has returned to world market, will you have to go back to eating road kill?

Do you honestly believe that the Yingluk government was democracy? Do you think that MPs should be paid to be a member of a party, and then vote to the orders, and direct benefit, of a rich criminal?
