Pol.Col. Somboon Puangmalai, superintendent of Yarang Police Station, admitted yesterday that the weapons were found "outside the area of the madras" but did not elaborate any further. He also told Khaosod there is no evidence that links the weapons with Marobi at the moment.

It's good that the police found the weapons, maybe an assassination attempt.was prevented or impeded.
The collection of arms and explosives is good to prevent attacks or at least make it more difficult.

That unfortunately is what is happening. They cannot be expected to preach peace, tolerance and love, that's not what Islam is about. Look at the life of the prophet and see his example, that is what they follow.

As simplistic is the following notion: Most of the bombings in Thailand over the last couple of years were done by red shirts (or yellow shirts, whichever is your flavor), all of whom were Buddhists. Conclusion, all bombs are set off by Buddhists, and therefore (which is an even dumber notion) every Buddhist is a terrorist....

Thats basically the same as saying that all catholic priests are pedophiles, every Christian wants to destroy all gays and kill every woman who has an abortion (and all the doctors that perform these abortions), and Aids only exists in Africa because the Vatican doesn't allow the use of condoms.

To tie your comment back to the deep South, many local Thai Muslims have been reported as murdered for informing on the 'insurgents'.

I am not aware that Marobi has cut anyone's head off, thrown any gay people off buildings or stoned any women to death. You seem to me to be suffering from some form of paranoia-induced affliction mixed with a little bit of bigotry.
