Multi-strand rattan living room furniture?

Featured Replies

Is there anything like this in the Pattaya area? This is "triple-strand" (i.e. three tubes of rattan in the frame) rattan:

About 30 years ago I bought set of sofa/2 chairs that a hotel was replacing in Hawaii. I really like the style, and wonder if it can be found here? Four-strand would be even better:

I also liked the easily found, easily replaceable cushion covers in Hawaii. My guess is someone like a curtain maker here in Thailand could do that?

There is a rattan/wicker furniture shop on North Pattaya Road, about 50 meters before the bus station on the other side of the road as you go from Sukumvit towards the beach. They will make to order, but they have a very large selection on the floor. Not sure if they have the triple tube style, but they are well worth a look.

I can recommend this bamboo shop in Naklua down the street from the new market.

Here is the address off an old receipt..........

hope this helps

There is a rattan/wicker shop on the corner of Thepprasit Soi 11(?).

I think I'll start with the Thepprasit place, since I'm often in that area. The Pattaya Nua one is fairly easy to reach by Sukhumvit baht bus, too. Then, if still looking, Naklua seems in my future.

Thanks!
