longtom
This shows again that the police know quite well what's going on 'out there in the jungle'. Best outcome is the killers will be identified and maybe even go to jail (if the police are not directly involved). Just a shame that even if they know who is the 'mastermind' he/she wont be prosecuted because of all the known reasons. TiT
noitom
These Thai photo ops accompanying pretentious busts are a real stain on Thailand and its sincerity to clean up.
pinkpanther99
Why are they sat around laughing and smiling? I think this photo tells you all you need to know about the police relationship with Samui's powerful 'businessmen'.

Popular Post Tropicalevo
Why are they sat around laughing and smiling? I think this photo tells you all you need to know about the police relationship with Samui's powerful 'businessmen'. I can see how those of you with less (or no) experience of the Thai police and how they interview witnesses/supects would be surprised by the apparent relaxed atmosphere as shown in the photo. However, in my (limited) experience - this is exactly how I have seen them operate in at least four different cases. (One murder, one auto-accident death and two theft.) They prefer to interview in a relaxed and friendly environment encouraging witnesses/suspects to speak freely and without threat. In all four cases above, this method worked. The BIB's 'got their man'. Perhaps we should not judge them by interrogation methods employed by other police forces?
