Seriously though, this is a good attempt to cut costs and meet the demand from the LCCs, who don't want all these fancy facilities. I wonder how much cheaper the passengers' departure-tax will be, for those in the low-cost/low-service terminal, what do you reckon ?

And why didn't they just build the tent on the military-side at Don Muang, deferring the cost of a whole new airport, for another decade or so ?
