PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Tuesday a 32 year old Thai woman reported an armed robbery which occurred in South Pattaya which resulted in the theft of her shoulder bag.

Khun Tanaporn explained to Police that she was walking home from work along Soi Khopai, a known crime hot-spot in South Pattaya, when a man, presumably Thai, drove up beside her on a red Honda Wave motorbike and dismounted his bike and approached Khun Tanaporn.

He was armed with a knife and stood behind her and pressed the end of the knife into her back, luckily causing no injuries. He proceeded to steal her shoulder bag which contained 1,500 Baht in cash and personal items carrying little value.
