Just checking if anyone has brought in car parts and added them to the check in luggage. I make a lot of return trips to Dubai so my plan was to bring in a set of alloy wheels 1 at a time. The weight is around 20 kg per alloy so it costs me zero to add them to my luggage quota.

The part I am unsure of is if I should go through the green channel and hope they do not stop me or if best to go through the red channel and have a doctored invoice available and hope they accept the given value and pay some duty.

I am not sure also if I get stopped at the green channel I can tell them its only a spare wheel for my car, thus the reason I only wish to bring 1 per trip.
