Reaching the ripe age of 62 expected just a few drinks with a few friends which is norm on regular occasions,i don't need a chorus of happy birthday to you,but knock me down with a wet noodle,2 birthday cards,from home back in the uk,but the thais well 5 t-shirts 1 free pizza and 300 baht from a kind farang who i just greet on seeing him,ok not the wildest celebration i have known but these little acts of friendliness actually bought tears to my eyes,this i had to share with my fellow tvf friends,i love thailand.

Thanks ya'll guys but i didn't wan't to make an issue of it's my birthday,the point of the post was the feeling of warmth from the thais who freeley gave,as they not as 1 would put it a close circle of friends.

As for the alive part some of the bars i frequent it feels like i'm drinking in a cemetery with the dead lol.
